Overlooking the mountain range, nestled in the foothills of Golden, Colorado, in front of their closest friends and loved ones, Tanya and Aaron said their “I do’s” on their 10-year anniversary of being a couple.
These two have a lot of history between them. Over 10 years ago they first met each other while they were both working for Applebee’s in Edinburg, Texas. Tanya had been crushing on Aaron for some time when she finally decided to invite him to a gathering at her friend’s house, and as she says, “the rest was history.”
Over the years they decided they would go back to school and graduate together, and they did!
While in Las Vegas in December of last year, he finally proposed. Tanya wanted a picture in front the LOVE sign at the Venetian hotel and Aaron had surprised her and had planned to propose there all along. She, of course, said yes!
Fast-forward to their wedding day, one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever seen, Mount Vernon Canyon Club. It was exactly what they had dreamed of for their destination wedding in Colorado. Not to mention, this couple is absolutely beautiful!
Tanya’s mother made all of the florals, the centerpieces, the decorations, she truly put her heart and soul into making sure this day was perfect for her daughter and new son-in-law.
They decided to keep their guest list small, although they said many times how they wished they could’ve invited everyone who meant so much to them over the years! Everyone there traveled from out-of-state to be in Colorado to witness the joining of their lives. You could feel the love and excitement that this day brought to their friends and family-10 years in the making!
There was not a dry eye in the crowd as they said their I do's.
Sealed with a kiss and ready to party, I had to snag them away so we could drive down the road to Lookout Mountain, the views did not disappoint.
As we were walking away the sky started to turn bright pink, Tanya and I looked at each and knew we had to go back.
Aaron agreed to go back with us because hey, happy wife happy life! ;)
The rest of the night was filled with amazing food, drinks, dancing, heartfelt toasts, and such happy hearts.
Tanya and I have been planning and talking about this special day since February, her family was so welcoming and by the end of the night I truly felt like part of it; I didn’t want to leave!
I’m so glad that Instagram led you to me, Tanya!
I wish these two nothing but the best for the happiest life that I know they will have!
Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.
